Unlock codes for a Samsung Intercept: top tips

The Samsung SPH-M910, better known as the Samsung Intercept smartphone was released by Samsung in 2010, and runs on the popular Android operating software. It boasts a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, fast internet browsing and access to thousands of apps and games on the Android market. this article will tell you how to get Unlock codes for a Samsung Intercept mobile.

The Intercept is an update of its predecessor the Samsung Moment.  Despite this, many of its features are in fact less than those of its predecessor. The screen resolution of the Intercept is 240×400, whereas the Moment has a screen resolution of 320×480, and the Intercept’s camera has no flash. Once improvement on the Moment is that the Intercept’s screen does support multi-touch.

One thing the Intercept can’t do is be used on any mobile network as it has a SIM lock placed on it by Samsung to prevent it being used on any other network than the one it was purchased on. This however can easily and legally be changed with the use of an unlock code.

You will need to obtain a new SIM card that is on a network other than the one the phone is locked to, and this can be found on the internet, from any mobile retailer or supermarket. You will also need to obtain the afore mentioned unlock code for your handset. This can in many cases be obtained for free from your network service provider, as most networks will give the code to any long standing customer.

If you can’t or don’t want to go through your network, there are other third party vendors for unlock codes, who gain them from manufacturers and resell them for a small fee. These can be found on the internet, and some may even operate on your local high street.

Once you have your new SIM card and unlock code, you are ready to follow these steps and unlock your phone to get an Unlock code for a Samsung Intercept

1. Replace the old SIM card in your phone with the new one.

2. Switch your phone on and you should receive a message similar to ‘SIM network unlock PIN’.

3. Enter the unlock code you earlier obtained.

And that is it! Couldn’t be simpler! Your phone is now unlocked for use on any network. If you have any issues contact your network service provider or the source of your unlock code.

Your Samsung Intercept should now be unlocked.
